This new guide includes installing the SPROG II and required software, and guidance on getting started to use the SPROG and the JMRI software.

Firmware Programming Files

Due to recurring problems encountered by people attempting to upgrade their SPROG II firmware, user updates were suspended.
Users of Serial SPROG IIs earlier than version 1.4 should contact us if they wish to upgrade.

Version 1.3 fixed a problem with the operation of function buttons in the JMRI throttle

Version 1.4 fixed a problem with programming Digitrax decoders in direct mode

Note that all USB SPROG IIs are version 1.4 or later.

All SPROG II USB now shipping are version 2.4 or later, and can now be upgraded by the user.
The latest version is 2.5, which supports a particular behavior of some QSI sound decoders. Please Contact us with any questions or to obtain the latest firmware.

SPROG II USB Drivers (VCP Drivers)

At the moment, these are the same drivers that are included on the SPROG II JMRI CDROM.
Updated drivers will appear here when neccessary. Save the file(s) to your local disk and unpack them. Please read the installation guide in the SPROG II User Guide

The current distribution software on the CD is also available here online.
Users can install directly from this online copy.
